Summer Camp Jobs

The ANGLO Team at our summer centres is separated into two areas: Teaching and Activity.
Below you can read the overview and full job description for each role in both areas.

ACTIVITY ROLES

Activity Manager (AM)

The Activity Manager is responsible for the overall smooth running of the activity and excursion programme. This person is responsible for the safety of students and staff as a Designated Safeguarding Officer. The AM will facilitate a positive and fun environment for the students.

Workshop Leader (WL)

Workshop Leaders are responsible for organising and delivering fun, educational ANGLO workshops for teenage students. WLs also plan and lead exciting full day excursions to places of interest. WLs need to be ready to chat with students, encourage them to use English, and make sure they really enjoy their time in the UK.

 

ANGLO Leader (AL)

ANGLO Leaders are responsible for planning and running a fun, engaging leisure programme for teenagers. This will include leading a variety of sports and creative activities, acting as a guide on trips to places of interest, and running evening events such as talent shows, themed discos, quiz nights. ALs need to be ready to chat with students, encourage them to use English and make sure they fully enjoy their time in the UK.

TEACHING ROLES

Teaching Manager (TM)

Teaching Managers are responsible for the overall smooth running of the EFL teaching programme at their ANGLO centre. The main role is to supervise and support a team of Academic Staff, ensuring the safe operation of the academic programme for both students and staff.

Workshop & Teaching Supervisor (WTS)

The WTS’ main role is to run the ANGLO+ Workshops with the help of a team of Workshop Leaders. The WTS also supports the TM in running the EFL teaching programme at their ANGLO centre, and supervises and supports a team of Academic Staff alongside the TM, ensuring the safe operation of the academic programme for both students and staff.

 

EFL Teacher (T)

EFL Teachers are responsible for planning and delivering high-quality, EFL lessons following the ANGLO syllabus. ANGLO sessions promote the communicative approach with emphasis on speaking and listening skills.

DBS IMPORTANT NOTE:

In compliance with The Children Act 1989 and 2004 and Accreditation UK requirements, applicants are advised that they need to be registered with the update service to confirm current enhanced DBS clearance to ensure suitability for the position. If you are not registered with the update service, we can no longer accept your existing DBS certificate and you will need to apply for a new certificate. We strongly advise you to join the update service.

– Proof of identity and qualifications will be required.
– References will be followed up.
– Reference requests will ask specifically if there is any reason why you should not be allowed to work with persons under the age of 18.
– You will be required to sign a declaration that you are not unfit to work with persons under the age of 18.
– Appropriate safeguarding clearance will be required prior to confirmation of your appointment in line with ANGLO’s safeguarding policy.
