THE CENTRE
University of Essex
The University of Essex’s Colchester campus is a modern and diverse hub of learning set within Wivenhoe Park, a stunning 200-acre historic parkland, just a short bus ride from the city centre.
Accommodations are located in the heart of the campus and feature modern, single en-suite rooms, each equipped with a desk, chair, wardrobe, and shelves to provide you with a comfortable personal space. Each flat comes with a shared kitchen, giving you the perfect space to socialise and relax. Free Wi-Fi is available across the entire campus.

HALF-DAY-TRIPS
Colchester City & Walking Tour: Discover Britain’s oldest recorded city on a half-day trip to Colchester. A guided walking tour will take you through its rich and complex history, from its Iron Age and Roman roots to the medieval period and beyond. You’ll see highlights such as the impressive Roman Walls and the historic Dutch Quarter.
Colchester Castle: We include paid entrance to the magnificent Colchester Castle, which houses a museum with significant Roman archaeological collections. You’ll have the opportunity to explore interactive exhibits, see the famous Colchester Vase, and learn about the building’s fascinating history.
Clacton-on-Sea: Escape to the coast on a half-day trip to Clacton-on-Sea. Enjoy the classic seaside atmosphere, stroll along the pier, relax on the sandy beach, and explore the town. It’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy some traditional British seaside fun.

Explore the best of London with two full-day trips. We provide you with travelcards so you can take the Tube and experience iconic sights like Westminster, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, and the Southbank.
Included Entrance: We include paid entrance to a River Thames Cruise to Greenwich, so you can experience a unique perspective of the city, explore Greenwich Market and the National Maritime Museum, and even catch a glimpse of the Meridian Line!
London by Night: Both of these trips include a meal out in the city, allowing you to extend your excursion and experience the magic of London after dark.

THE ESSENCE OF ANGLO STUDY HOLIDAYS
Learn, practice and experience English differently.
Courses with dynamic lessons in the classroom, exciting workshops that challenge and engage,
and amazing excursions to make language learning an adventure.
EXCURSIONS
To put into practice all the English students have been learning they need to get out there. Excursions offer a chance to visit the places students have studied, practise their spoken English in a public setting, and explore awesome places.
LEARNING
Communicative, inspiring lessons with material for CEFR levels A1-C1, ANGLO classes have a maximum of 15 students and are designed to build on the knowledge students bring with them, and mesh seamlessly with their stay in the UK.
WORKSHOPS
Carefully tailored sessions which typically start in the classroom for an introduction and language input, then generally students explore campus/the local area to gather information. Finally, the students present to their peers to show what they’ve learned.
SAFETY
Keeping students, staff and group leaders safe is mission critical! Health and safety, safeguarding and security are top of the list.
